Plan well and make sure you don’t miss out on any of the places to visit in Jaipur, especially if you are living in this pink city or planning a trip to another place across India. Plan for your trip properly and write about your Jaipur experience through this travel blog.

The pink city Jaipur or Jaipur is the capital and largest city of the north Indian state of Rajasthan. There are many beautiful monuments in Jaipur like Amer Fort, Jantar Mantar, City Palace, and Silver shops. Everyone should visit this place once in their lifetime.

Jaipur City

The pink city of Jaipur is an ideal place to experience the rich culture and architecture of Rajasthan. The city has been planned on the lines of a chessboard, with wide straight avenues, roads, streets, and lanes in a fascinating grid system. The city was painted pink in 1876 to welcome the Prince of Wales and since then it has retained its pink color.

Jaipur City is the administrative headquarters of Jaipur District. It was founded on November 18, 1727, by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II (1699-1743), who moved his court to Jaipur from Amber, because of an increase in population and growing water scarcity.

Jaipur is called a pink city because of its monuments and buildings that are built by using this color. The construction materials of buildings are lime, sandstone, marble, etc.
